Teen Halloween Party!


This Friday October 25th, the Danville Public Library will be holding its first Teen Halloween Party!  The party will be from 5:30-7:30 in the downstairs conference room.  There will be food, games, and plenty of fun for everyone!  Costumes are optional, but there will be a contest for all teens that come in costume.  The costume contest prize will be 4 tickets to a Danville Dashers hockey game.  Signups are required to attend the party, either come by the teen space or call 477-5225 to sign up.  Must be 12-18 to attend.

"Perks of Being a Wallflower" Free Teen Movie Today!

Come join us today, Wednesday Sept. 18th, at 4:00pm for the Teen Movie "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".  The movie will be shown downstairs in the conference room and refreshments will be provided.  All teens age 12-18 are welcome!  Twelve year olds must have signed parental permission slip since the movie is rated PG13.  Permission slips are available in the children's or teen departments. The movie is based on the best selling book by Stephen Chbosky.

For any of you who have read "The Mortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare, this movie is a must see! And if you haven't read the books then you definitely need to! The first book is "City of Bones" and is what the movie covers. I devoured these books years ago, and can still vividly remember all the characters, and have been meaning to read the books again. Teen Dance Off Winners!


This past Saturday was our first Teen Dance Off competition.  We had 18 participants that danced their hearts out!  After several hours of dancing we took the high scores in two different age brackets and announced our winners! First place won chamber bucks and second place won McDonalds gift cards.

Meet The Project Next Generation Class!

Every week the project next generation class either gives you advice on great games, apps, shares a funny video, writes a book review, or introduces you to a member of the library staff. March Teen DIY Class-Cake Pops!

Our March Teen DIY Class is going to be cake pops. We will be making the delicious treat with a cake pop maker and then dipping them in icing.  The class is Wednesday March 20th at 4:00 pm in the downstairs conference room.  Space is limited, so either come by the library or call 477-5225 to sign up.  Must be 12-18 to attend.

She is the author of "Cat Girls Day Off", "Sucks to be Me", and "Still Sucks to be Me".  Be sure to come by the main meeting room and chat with her!  She will be answering all sorts of questions about her books, her writing process, and what it's like to move from the Midwest to London! We will have a limited amount of books for purchase.
